Learn how to formulate your own organic body creams and lotions in this fun, hands-on workshop with Marla Bosworth. Body creams and lotions are in high demand all year. Students will gain knowledge on how to formulate incredibly rich creams that customers will love!
Students will explore a wide range of ingredients to incorporate into their own best-selling, signature products or to simply make for fun for friends and family. No experience necessary.
Our classes are attended by both newbies and students who are already making creams but are struggling with creating a formula that works for them. Students will gain a strong understanding of the best emulsifiers on the market, when and how to tweak recipes by substituting various plant oils and butters, how to incorporate herbs and plant medicine into the water or oil phases, which preservatives to use, labeling, pricing and much more.
Students will receive a valuable handout with formulas, supplier list, theory and take home:
- 8 oz. Light and Moisturizing Body Lotion
- 8 oz. Hydrating Body Cream
Marla creates high experiential workshops - a holistic perspective of learning by transforming new information. If you've ever attended any of her classes you know the energy she creates is positive, supportive, educational and fun. Marla is the CEO of Back Porch Soap Company. She has been making plant-based beauty products and soap for 27 years.
